What does He want ?

Our God is an AWESOME God!

There is good news for every person on earth. God has provided for you. The Lord has offered you His hand of redemption. You don’t have to be a slave to sin and death. You can be free of your captivity and bondage.

We all know that we don’t deserve His mercy or His favor, but He extends it to all of us because He loves us. He has provided the means by which you may receive the forgiveness of sins.

Just turn to Him. Humble yourself before the Lord of Glory and trust in His salvation.

HE will wash you. HE will cleanse you. HE will lead you in the way you should go.

Hear His voice. Hear His words.

This is what He wants:

Isaiah 45:22

Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other.

Psalm 145:18

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.

Joel 2:321

It will so happen that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be delivered.

Romans 10:12-13

For there is no distinction between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all, who richly blesses all who call on Him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

See also Ps.18:3; Zech.13:9; Acts 2:21.

By fearing God, humbling ourselves, and calling upon the name of the Lord, He has promised to forgive us and save us.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Recognize, repent and call upon the Lord, and receive the forgiveness of sins.

Job 33:26-30

Then he will pray to God, and He will accept him, that he may see His face with joy, and He may restore His righteousness to man. “He will sing to men and say, ‘I have sinned and perverted what is right, and it is not proper for me. ‘He has redeemed my soul from going to the pit, and my life shall see the light.’  Behold, God does all these oftentimes with men, to bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of life.

Recognize, repent, and call upon the Lord. Receive redemption and righteousness and the light of life.

Luke 18:13-14

But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’ I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Men have been calling upon the Lord to be saved through the entire Bible (Gen.4:26; Gen.12:8; Ex.34:5; 2 Sam.4-7; Ps.18:6; Ps.99:6; Lam.3:55-58; Jonah 1:14; Jonah 2:2).

He who humbles himself before the Lord and seeks His forgiveness and mercy will be exalted and justified (Is.66:2; Ps.18:27; Ps.25:9; Ps.147:6; Prov.3:34; 2 Ki.22:19; 2 Chr.7:14; 2 Chr.12:7; 2 Chr.12:12;  Zeph.2:3; Matt.5:3; Matt.18:4; Matt.23:12; Luke 1:52; Luke 18:13-14; 1 Pet.5:5-6; Jam.4:6; Jam.4:10).

Those who fear God (revere Him) and worship Him and give Him glory:

By fearing the Lord and walking in faith to the Lord, we are doing “good”; we are “doing righteousness and justice”:

Micah 6:8

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Acts 10:34-35

Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.

The only way to do what is good — to be fair with each other, to be kind to one another, to revere the Lord and do what is right in His eyes is to listen to Him and walk in faith to Him. Without faith in Him, we cannot please Him (Heb.11:6). It is by walking in faith and thus doing good and sharing with one another that we offer sacrifices pleasing to God (Heb.13:16).

As Paul says in Romans 2:6-7, “to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life.” The Lord told Abraham to command his children “to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice” (Gen.18:19). David says to “Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and trust in the Lord” (Ps.4:5)

God’s children are those who walk by faith, just like Abraham (Gal.3:7). The righteous shall live by faith and are obeying the gospel (Rom.1:16-17). By walking in faith, we are practicing the truth and bearing the fruit of His righteous word. By practicing the truth, we show we are children of Light, and that our fruit is from God (John 3:21; 1 John 1:6; Matt.21:43; Luke 3:8; Col.1:10).  By listening to, and walking in His truth, we know that the blood of His Son cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7).’
